Subtle School Look

I've been wearing this look to classes for the past couple of weeks. I started off using Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Birthday Suit (which I completely forgot I had until I found it in my moms makeup stash ;]) all over my lid and wiping the excess on the brow bone. Then I mixed Buck and Naked from the Urban Decay Naked Palette and applied it to the crease. Lastly for mascara, I used MAC Zoom Lash.

Cravings #2..

I must say, living in Miami for 3 months has done something to me for the better. It boosted my confidence a little, and honestly I think it was being around my family. They're always so sure of themselves in everything they do and I kind of caught onto that. So I channeled them in a job interview I had this week and, I must say, that was probably the best interview I'd ever done! I'm hoping and praying and crossing my fingers and toes for this job!! So if, maybe I should say when, I get this job I won't be able to buy much - or anything - for a few months. That said, I have another wish list!

1. Lush Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream: "Keep Your Knockers In Tit Top Shape." This cream is supposed to soften and firm your...ta-ta's. A few reviewers on the Lush website claim they use this cream on their tummy, bum, and thighs as well!

2. Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner: I love eyeliner, I love glitter. So a glitter liner = have to have it! And they'd be fun to use to show school spirit - if they have one of the schools colors!

3. Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eyeliner: TiffanyD on YouTube did a review on this product. It's supposed to help make your upper lashes look fuller.

4. Sigma Dare Eyeshadow Palette: One of three of Sigma's new palettes - it's has gorgeous colors for Fall!

5. Mac Rubenesque Paint Pot: The first paint pot I ever bought was Delft - a medium blue with green/gold undertones. Not the best color for a girl who loves to wear neutrals. So my next PP will be Rubenesque.

6. L'Oreal One Sweep Eyeshadow: I'm dying to try this! Even if the "one sweep" aspect doesn't work, you can always use them one by one.

7. NARS Body Illuminator: A bronze shimmer to prolong your summer tan. I think this may be a good dupe for MAC's To The Beach Bronze Body Oil - which I think was limited edition. *I read it's best to mix with lotion.

Nostalgia

Being. Sick. Sucks. Ok I'm not really sick, but my throat has been scratchy and feels like it's starting to get sore - and it's been affecting my sleeping.
For the past week I've been re-watching episodes of Wildfire. It's about a girl, with a troubled past, who gets a second chance at a horse racing stable. The show ended a few years ago, but it's one of my favorite shows EVER! Watching the show makes me miss my horse even more, and all the other horses at the farm! :) Sooo this is going to be a nostalgic post with some pictures of what I'm missing right now.
{shopping, obviously! :)}

{Moon Pie (L), Derby Boy}

{L-R: Mango, Euphoria, Sweet Dreams, GlitterWave}

{Joey}

{Choo (L), Twister}

{My babycakes - GG}

I had a job interview today, keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I get the job! I can't go that much longer without seeing all these crazy characters, and the ones not pictured...and shopping!!

Cravings..

At the moment I am jobless, and it SUCKS! There are products that I am itching to get my hands on, but no money = no shopping. Because of this, I will periodically make collages of products that I want - meaning even when I get a job, which is hopefully ASAP, I will still make said collages!

1) MakeUp ForEver Aqua Cream Eyeshadow: I really love the color 15 Taupe - it'd be a beautiful color to quickly brush on the lids when you're in a rush. Plus these puppies are known for their staying power!

2) Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner: These are also great for a quick pop of color on the lid - I'm really love the new color Tidal Wave. It's a teal with gold shimmer, super pretty!

3) NARS Outremer Single Shadow: I'm pretty sure this is a color being released for Fall, or it has been released for Fall(?), regardless I'm in love with it! I'm a sucker for blue and this cobalt blue is to die for!

4) NARS Larger Than Life LongWear Liner: I looove colored eyeliners and I'm itching to get my hands on some of these - copper, forest green, purple and turquoise. They're supposed to last for 12 hours..Some reviews on Sephora agree with that, some don't. Guess it's one of those things you have to try for yourself.

5) NARS Grand Palais Eyeshadow Duo: I'm pretty sure this is another Fall released color. I'm in love with the silvery taupe and dusty rose colors! Lovely for Fall.

6) Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner: The variety of colors UD has to offer makes me excited! I've never tried these - really I just want to get the collection cause they all look pretty together! But I would like to try Covet (green), 1999 (shimmery plum), Crash (eggplant w/silver), Electric (bright iridescent teal), Graffiti (bright green w/silver), and Ransom (bright iridescent purple).

7) Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette: Amazing colors. Need I say more?

8) Bare Minerals Foundation: I've been using this since I was 15, so for about 6 years now, and it was my first actual makeup product I ever bought. I will never use any other foundation. I just put that on here cause I need more and in the correct color :)

Mermaids Tale

My weekend at the beach was super fun! Probably more so for my puppy dog. Saturday we took him to the beach and, nervously, let him off leash for the first time ever. He had a BLAST chasing the waves and birds and rolling in the sand. Needless to say, he spent the rest of the day and night in bed, not getting up once!  Sunday he went out on the boat, another first for the pup (he's not really a pup, he's about 7 years old). He seemed to enjoy it, even though he stayed in the boat the whole time. We went scalloping for about 4 hours and decided against going to an island where we could all get out and relax, which he would've loved. Here are a couple pictures of his big weekend:

{He loooved the freedom!}

{He's a water dog}

{My mom, a nervous looking pup named Bosco, and I}

Now for the makeup look. While scalloping we found a hair grown into one of the scallops we picked up. Immediately my mom joked saying "Maybe it's a mermaid's hair!" That got me thinking, maybe I should do a mermaid-ish look! So this is what I came up with:
I first applied NYX Jumbo Pencil in Horse Raddish all over my lid. I used all Bare Minerals eyeshadows - I first put Mermaid all over my lid and into the crease. Then I put In The Buff only on the lid. Next I put Azure on my lower and upper lash line. Last for the eyeshadows I put Well Rested as a highlight  and a little on the inner corner. I also used Almays One Coat Dial-Up Mascara.

Let's Get Beachy!

I'm headed to the beach today for the weekend and I wanted to do a look inspired by the water. Not exactly inspiration from the Gulf, but the Caribbean (the water in the Gulf isn't as pretty)!

So I first started with a mica pigment in Blue Silver Star, applying it all over my lid. Then I put Interfine Blue mica pigment on the inner third of my lid and as a highlight. Next I put Bare Minerals Azure eyeshadow over the Blue Silver Star pigment. Then I used the dark blue/black shadow from the ELF Black Licorice Eyeshadow Duo in my crease. Lastly I used Maybelline's Unstoppable Eye Liner in Sapphire and Benefit's They're Real Mascara.

♫ Blaack and Gold, Black and Gold, Black and Gold! ♫

I was listening to a song that I hate to love (a guy I can't get over showed me this song), Black & Gold by Sam Sparro, and I really wanted to make a black and gold look. I looked up some images and found a look that I LOVED so I had to do it. It looks like this:

First I lined my upper lash line with L'Oreals Carbon Black Felt Tip Liner and really winged it out. I did the same on my lower lash line. I used the black shadow from my BH Cosmetics 88 Palette to cover the outer half of my lid. Then I used "Half Baked" from Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Then I mixed a white and peachy white from the 88 Palette and applied lightly on the inner third of my lid and in the tear duct; also between the upper and lower lash liner. Lastly I used Almay's One Coat Dial-Up Mascara.

Coastal Scents Mica Pigments

I haven't used my CS's Mica Pigments in a while so I forgot how much I love them. Coastal Scents has a variety of colors - 80 to be exact - and their sample sizes are only 95 cents (or $7.95 for a 10 gram jar)! You can buy a 10 gram jar or a sample size (1/8 tsp) in a small snap bag. I would suggest the sample size - you get enough pigment to fill a 5 gram jar and then some! You can buy 5 gram jars from the CS website to store the Mica's in if you'd like easier access. Here are the ones that I have:
{This is a sample bag and a 5 gram jar. Excuse the dust it had been 3 months since I'd looked at them!}

L-R: Paradise Sand;  Blue Claret Pearl;  Emerald Isle; Blackstar Blue;  Metallic Sapphire;  Blue Silver Star;  Cellini Yellow;  Interfine Blue

{The Interfine Blue mica has a purple/blue sheen - as you can see on the jar's lid. Super pretty! And Blackstar Blue mica - third from left, bottom row - is a dupe for Jesse's Girl Cosmetics Blackstar Blue Eye Dust -which is $4.99 for 2 . 5 grams!}

I was not contacted by anyone to do this post, I simply have a new-found love for the product and thought I'd share my two cents.

Plum and Gold

This is probably one of my favorite looks. Plum is one of the colors that's in for Fall. In the pictures the plum color looks more brown... Well I guess it is a plumy-brown.
I used the colors "Half Baked" {2nd from left} and "Hustle" {3rd from right} from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I put Half Baked all over my lid and into the inner crease. Then I put Hustle on the outer half of my lid and into the outer crease then blended the edges. I also used a pencil brush to put Hustle along my lower lash line and Half Baked over Hustle.

Lastly I used Tarte's Amazonian Clay Liner in Black and Almay's One Coat Dial-Up Mascara.

Fishy Face! :)

Last of My Nail Polishes

Sorry for the lack of posts! I've been super busy with school and visiting with a friend that I hadn't seen in 2 years! I have a simple post today, the rest of my nail polish collection - it includes Nicole by OPI, Revlon, and ELF.

L-R: Pink Titanium ; Baby Blue ; Light A Candle
I love love LOVE these colors! Mainly the two outer ones, they look like liquid metal. I've had the pink and blue ones for YEARS! But the purple one is fairly new so it should be in stores.

L-R: Steel Grey ; Purple Rain
The picture of my nails is the true color; the flash distorted the color in the bottles.

L-R: Metal Madness ; Mint Cream
Metal Madness reminds me of My Private Jet by OPI. It's a good dupe for MPJ and it's only $2!

Quick School Look

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend, that is if you're in the US! Mine was spent watching football, bonding with my horse, and helping my mom redecorate her room. The weather was amazing! The tropical storm in the Gulf gave us a rainy weekend (rain we DESPERATELY needed), but two of the three days weren't humid, which was a nice change. It was also very very windy on Monday. Reminded my mom and I of Winnie the Pooh and the blustery day lol. So today was back to classes, yuck! Here's the look that I wore to school today:

I first applied NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Yogurt" all over my lid. Then placed "Buck" from the Urban Decay Naked Palette in my crease. I put "Sin" over the Yogurt color and in my tear duct, and used "Virgin" as a highlight. Threw on a little "Bronze" Tarte Clay Liner and ELF Clear Mascara.
